In My Own Words:
My name is Lizeth de los Angeles López Díaz. I have two siblings and my parents are Leydin Lopez and Maria Diaz. From preschool to third grade I studied in a school called José Dolores Estrada, located in Las Flores. With a lot of effort, my parents supported me so I could finish secondary school. In my house there is not sufficient income to be able to enter the University. From third and fourth grade I did excellent. After fourth year I returned and did well. I do not want to simply be a high-school graduate because being this does not amount to anything in this country.
In secondary school I liked to go out dancing at events that take place every year. Through all of this I never lose hope of studying for a university career. I trust all of you in this good project that you have for all of the adolescents from scarce resources. From all of this I would love to help my parents and repay them for all of the sacrifice they have given me.
I am thankful to God above for following me and giving me the life and encouragement to succeed, and the wish of being a professional and giving me a dignified life. I have always loved sharing with my friends the little that I have and above all respect for my parents who have given me a good education. I remember the times that my little brother, two years younger than I, was sick and there was no money to buy medicines. Because of this, we would have a lot of sadness and I didn’t like to talk about my illnesses because I don’t want my parents to feel sorry for themselves.
Because of this, I want my values as a student and a human being. My illness is Uric Acid, but there is no money to control it. I hope I am selected because I am a person with wishes to move forward. I give my life to achieve my dreams. I am very close with my aunts and uncles. I adore my grandparents. They always encouraged me to obtain 100 percent and to always be cordial and on good behavior with my friends and family. After my parents, my grandfather has supported me the most. Anolves and my grandmother, Antonia, who always tell me not to be beaten down although I have encountered many obstacles in my life. They say that they are tests from God in order to see how we are and that we have heart in order to achieve, and all love that comes from the very bad. I reiterate my new thanks, from a girl with wishes to move forward and exit the darkness and encounter aspiration.
