In My Own Words:
I was born in Masaya on November27th, 1991. My parents are Elmer Escobar, an unemployed teacher and Xiomara Rodriguez, who sells cosmetics in the market.
We are very poor and we can't afford to pay for my University studies.
I had a sad childhood, because at that time my parents didn't live together. I saw my parents once in a while who left me with my older sisters.
When I was 10, my parents married and our life improved.
In 2007 my father lost his job and since then we have lived in poor conditions with serious necessities. This forced me to move to live with an aunt where I feel more protected and secure. My youth was also painful. I had a leg operation when I was 15 and now I suffer from arthritis. Because of my parent's poverty, it has been difficult to gain the services of a specialist.
Elba's Hobbies:
Listening to music, reading, watching television.
