![]() In My Own Words
December 2012
I graduated (Tourism and Hotel Management) from the Foundation BECA.org and am proud to tell you my story. It all started in 2009 with the joy of knowing that BECA was offering a solution for high school graduates who do not have the resources to continue their education and study a technical career, I think from that moment BECA changed the lives of my family and myself. I participated in many social projects like visiting the nursing home, fighting dengue, and cleaning health centers, schools and hospitals. Besides that I served as ambassador. My role was to organize meetings, take photos of the events, pass out fliers, and represent BECA at various events in Masaya (e.g. "Verbena"). I served with three fellow "becadas.". We were known as "SUKE." This experience helped me to understand the what it takes to be a leader. I also had good experiences during my studies. For example, before I finished my studies I had to do my internship in a hotel for three months in Granada. After a while I had the chance to be a receptionist at another hotel (Hotel Campo Real). I think that I never neglected my responsibilities I had in both places, always trying to do my best. Something I found rewarding is meeting new friends and being a member of a great family. BECA not only gives me the opportunity to fulfill my career goals but also gives me the satisfaction of working for a cause in which I have always believed: the education of future leaders of Nicaragua. I am currently part of the BECA team in Nicaragua. I have many goals and dreams. I am learning as a member of the BECA staff to set goals and work hard to make my dreams come true!
I am grateful to God for giving me many blessings.
BECA.org thank you very much.
