In My Own Words
December 2012
My experience with BECA has been the most marvelous that God has given me. I remember a certain day in November of the year 2008; Mr. Walter Hunchak and Mrs. Daysi came to the Institute where I was completing high school. They came to explain the organization and how to gain access to a scholarship. I took advantage of the opportunity and am now an auxiliary nursing professional.
In BECA I have shared wonderful moments and gained new experiences that I could never imagine; including the opportunity to get to know marvelous people in BECA like Daysi, Antonio, and Bryan; I have shared some very good, unforgettable moments with these people. I learned how to be more responsible and aspects of my personality surfaced; aspects previously hidden. I made new friends and visited new places and communities. As scholars we took part in community work projects, which for me was the most marvelous feeling. I didn’t let BECA down, studied hard in POLISAL of Jinotepe, Nicaragua and with a lot of effort and sacrifice finished successfully. *Translated by WAHU
