![]() In My Own Words Septermber 2014 Hi friends BECA.org!
In these moments I thank God for the opportunity he gave me to perform my studies and be part of the great family of BECA.org. In this moment I want to share the great experience I had while being part of the family from BECA.org since my first moment I heard of this organization until the day I graduated from my technical career.
It all started a week day in April 2009 at around 9:30 am in the city of Masaya where I'm from originally, when a neighbor and friend of my parents named Maria Luisa Ruíz came home to give me a handout with an educational scholarship offer, at the time I was just studying my high school and was in my 5th year and my parents looked at the handout and told me to try as it might be a good opportunity for me.
Honestly at the beginning when I decided to apply to the center of computing Intecomp I did it but with much doubts in mind, and unwilling to do it and it was the moment where a lady named Belkis treated me in the most friendly way and patiently she explained to me how the process was and that the program consisted of two stages: Course One and Intensive Course.
In May of 2009 I began the computing course in Intecomp and also I was doing my social project in a school named Maria Auxiliadora in Masaya, which I supported the teacher of the school helping her to: do murals, helping her with teaching to the kids, review the tasks of children, among other things, which I loved because I love kids! Hehehehe
Then, in 2010 I started my career as a Tour Guide in the technical center ENAH (Escuela Nacional de Hotelería [National School of Hospitality]), which lasted 18 months, from Monday to Friday. Finally I graduated from my career, proud of myself because during the period of my professionals practices I got sick and I had an emergency surgery of Appendix and practically I could not finish my career in November 2011 because my recovery from the surgery was long which prevented me from completing the career which I culminated in the next year and thanks God for the immense support that he always gave me thru BECA.org that although knowing my situation they did not cancelled my scholarship.
Today, I have been working for 1 year and 8 months as an Customer Service Agent in a Company named SITEL Nicaragua S.A in Managua and above all, I'm enjoying it because I love what I do and as I work I am putting into practice what I learned from my career and all thanks to God, BECA, and definitely to the people who were always there for me.
I'm definitely one of the transformed lives that BECA.org obtained in Nicaragua.
My experience has been unforgettable BECA.org, part of work days in different communities, I met new friends, and one of the things I learned was to be very responsible and be punctual; thanks to these two values I learned in BECA.org I managed to have the success that I have today and which I will put into practice.
I am very grateful to the Foundation BECA.org because with the help they gave me I was able to fulfill my dreams and succeed in all I have desired!
BECA.org thank you very much for your unconditional support.
