In My Own Words
December 2017
"My name is Juana Maria Garcia Duarte, I am from Tisma Masaya. I would like to share with you my experience in BECA.org, one day they visit my school and inform me about the project. After that I setup my application and it was accepted. When I start course one it was not difficult for me because I knew a little bit about computers, I was afraid of not getting good scores to continue with the scholarship, thanks God I was able to continue. It was an amazing experience because we had to do social work, it was really good because we could meet people and places. I remember we had to make a evaluation of how much the career cost, Antonio gave us some options I wanted to take nursing or accounting so I decided to take accounting. I studied to take accounting at INTECOMP, it was an amazing experience because I learned too many things also I got new friends. After too many good moments at that place I was able to complete my career. I start working at a free zone in Masaya, I work at a different area but it help me a lot, I already built my house and I am actually studying nursing at UNEH-Masaya, which it was the career I wanted to study but do not forget the great help I received from BECA.org. I remember when we wrote blogs, it was a way to show our experiences at BECA, social work and meetings we had with coordinators, we did not meet the sponsors. It was a good help and I will always be grateful for the opportunity I received. I just want to say thanks BECA.org. God bless you and I hope you continue getting a lot of blessings to continue helping more people. I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year."
