In My Own Words January 2011 My experience with BECA.org was wonderful, a gift from God, and I consider myself blessed. I clearly remember the day I met those two gringos when they presented the organization to myself, my sister and some classmates. Frankly, I initially applied to the program to take advantage of the computer training, because I didn't believe in any 100% scholarship. My assumption was incorrect, however, and little by little I discovered myself and new aptitudes and virtues, previously hidden, magically appeared. I slowly overcame my timid nature, and assumed a voluntary role as a student ambassador for the Foundation. I especially enjoyed interviewing new applicants, which was one of my responsabilities. For a career I chose to study Executive Secretary. The success I achieved in my career is a point of much pride for my family and also for the organization BECA.org. I will never forget the unconditional support my great friend Bryan offered me. Now I am a professional secretary that works for the Ministry of Education in Nicaragua (MINED). I am proud of my profession and my achievements so far. All of which makes me believe strongly that if you put your mind to something and perservere you can reach your goals. *Translated by WAHU
