Before I begin I want to say that my name is Jose Martinez Lopez Yerix and I’m a son of a single mother. My mother was deceived by a man, my father, who doesn’t know I exit. When my mother’s parents found out about this, they decided to adopt me and that’s the reason my parents (as stated on my birth certificate) are my grandparents. This happened in this way because my mother was born with a disability and that’s the reason that I don’t depend economically on anybody. These experiences have taught me that there is a solution for everything.
When I was in high school I had the privilege to participate in a literacy project. At the beginning I taught a person in my family how to read. Working on this helped me lift my self-esteem and I grew convinced that a person without financial resources is equal to anybody else. I was very proud of serving the community.
All these experiences have made me a very responsible person. Sometime si think that I’m here for a reason. These experiences have left me a message.
