Three months Villa Betania’s Board with the help from Alternativa had a great idea.

The idea was to choose within the community five committees, which were in charge of solving the internal problems suffered by the community.

I’m among this group of people; I’m part of the Park’s committee.

The Park’s committee: Before Don Walter came to my community I had already joined this committee. During that time, I had been cleaning the park in company of my supervisor. We have cleared the area of the park and I have done other social services this month.

The Park’s committee has been responsible for keeping the area for the park cleaned and also to ensure its environments. Among other things, my supervisor and me have supported other committees by attending meetings to discuss other problems experienced by the community.

Objective: My supervisor’s goal and my own is to send a letter to the Mayor of Masaya, to request a sports stadium so children will have a place to recreate.

Don Walter I took this position not for the scholarship but because if I form part of the community so I’m responsible of helping my peers and looking after my community.

I’m not doing it for money or anything else I do it with my heart.
