Alternativa has been holding meetings with the people of Villa Betania for some few months now. The first step Alternativa took was to identify the problems and needs that run through the community. Those who attended the meetings formed committees to address the problems and needs of the villagers.

Among the committees we had one the commission "Construction of the park" that I liked a lot because with a park there would be a place where children and young people could enjoy healthy activities. If we had a park people could play basketball or football in an appropriate place and not on the streets.

The main objective is to send letters to the council to assist us building the park. I want to make a commitment to assist on time to all meetings my committee and the entire board of the community organizes.

We have already cleared the area where the park will be and we will continue to do so until the park is built.

Before knowing that I would get the scholarship, I was already part of this committee and we had already make advances on the project. The community’s development interests me. And I have the satisfaction that I did something for my community and not by interest
